Save the date card

I absolutely LOVE my save the date card!! I got a recommendation to look on Etsy.com for someone to design my save the date card and I found the perfect card pretty quickly! I worked with Steph from SLW Designs and she was fantastic. She had my finished product to me within 48 hours and it was exactly what I wanted! I couldn't have been more pleased with the way it turned out and she was able to honor all of my requests. Please check out her site on Etsy, as she designs all kinds of cards, not just wedding cards!!

Of course some of you will be receiving this card in your mailbox, but I haven't quite decided if I am going to do a magnet or a postcard. I guess you will find out when it shows up in your mailbox!!

Wedding Monogram

I never even knew that having a wedding monogram was an option until I started hanging out on "the knot." I saw that a lot of other brides used their monogram on things like invitations, aisle runners, and thank you cards and I thought it was a fabulous idea. Of course I had no idea how to make one so I enlisted the help of fellow knotties and was referred to Jennifer at http://thefussydesigner.wordpress.com/

She was fantastic to work with and I love the finished product. She followed all of my instructions on what I wanted and was quick and easy to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding monogram. From the moment I emailed her, she had me mock-ups within 24 hours, and had my finished product to me within the first 5 days! She sent me several "mock-ups" and then I was able to tell her what I liked and she came up with a monogram that was exactly what was in my head!
Here is my finished product and I absolutely love it!!! Those of you who are going to be attending my wedding will see this more often than you think! I have already used it on our wedding program fans (pictures and instructions to follow), and our return address labels for thank you cards. I have plans to use it on many other things but we will see how that goes.

Wedding Colors

Now that we have found a venue we had to decide on wedding day colors. Of course Pink was an obvious choice, but I did venture away from pink a few times. Here are some of the wedding colors I debated between:

I loved these colors but didn't really think it matched our venue selection.

This was my first choice but Nick didn't like it. He thought it was to "girly" looking.

and I loved these colors to, but just wasn't sure how to pull it all together.

and the winner is.....

I LOVE PINK- so this just seemed to be the best choice! and I love the Black and White Damask pattern. I didn't realize how popular it was until after I picked it- but I still love it anyways. It hasn't been hard to find ideas with Black and White Damask, because every bride seems to be using that theme!
